We always recommend getting between 3-5 estimates when having any work done. Replacing the roof on your most Valuable investment, is something that we take very seriously. Our estimates are very detailed and straight forward. We make it very clear what you can expect of us and what materials will be used if we are chosen for the job at hand.Our Only "BS" is Better Shingling!

GCH Roofing offers a 10 Year Labor Warranty on all Complete Roof Replacements.

We offer a wide variety of products, all of them are quality known brands made for our warm and extreme cold weather here in Ontario Canada. CertainTeed Landmark Shingles would be our #1 choice of Architectural Style Shingles.  All of our materials we recommend are compliant with Canadian Building Code requirements.

We conduct detailed cleaning throughout the day and after completing the installation. We also run magnet bars for nails over the driveway, sidewalk and lawn. We do our Absolute best to not leave any nails, debris or any mess behind.

Unfortunately, even roofing materials can be bootlegged. Choosing the right materials for your Roof Replacement is crucial to a long lasting Quality Roof. When reviewing a estimate from another company, it is very important that the brand of materials have been listed. Simply stating "Replace old shingles with new shingles" is not looking out for the consumers best interest. This would allow your contractor to install any roofing product on your home, good or bad. No matter who our customer is, we will always provide them with a Honest, Competitive and Fair Estimate. Rest assured if we are recommending you a roofing product, it will exceed Canadian Building Code requirements. Our Only "BS" is Better Shingling!

Currently in Ontario the code states a maximum of 3 layers. We do not agree with this policy. Shingling over an existing roof not only adds extra weight, but the life span of the new shingles will certainly be negatively affected. In the event there is hidden structural issues, then it would not allow for damaged plywood or roof decking to be replaced. This can raise some serious issues when trying to sell a property.

We get it, people change their minds. All clients are welcome to make changes right up to the installation date.

ABSOLUTELY.  Any contractor who works on your home or property should have valid LIABILITY INSURANCE and be WSIB COMPLIANT.

NO. NEVER. All workers present on any of our jobsites are 100% GCH ROOFING INC. Personnel.

Absolutely, all GCH ROOFING staff are trained professionals. We are trained to follow all safety guidelines. Our entire staff has been certified in Ontario's "Working at Heights" and utilize all proper safety equipment as necessary.

We deliver ALL Materials the morning of your install date. We use a Dump Trailer that arrives with us in the morning and leaves with us at the end of the day. All garbage, old materials and debris are disposed of by us properly at specific recycling facilities. We DO NOT leave a bin on your property for several days.

Our Estimates are Firm, we do however have a "Find it, Fix it policy". We offer a 10 year Labor Warranty on all complete roof replacements. For this reason and also because we do things the right way the first time, we wont sell the quality of installation short and cut corners.

 

Example. In the event we find damaged roof decking after tear off of old existing shingles. Photographs will be sent immediately to the home owner.  All our estimates include our rates for decking replacement in the event that some has to be swapped out.

 

Another Example. If another Layer of shingles is discovered during tear off. Again, Photographs will be sent immediately to the home owner and our estimate will reflect the cost of each additional layer of shingles in the event that more are discovered. 

 

For these 2 main reasons and a few others, we always like to personally walk your roof and inspect all aspects of the up coming replacement in person, prior to providing a written estimate. 

We will not open up a roof in the rain. With that said, we watch the weather very carefully and are able to open up sections of the roof that can be completed before any bad weather touches down.
